Parivartan Scheme

Replace ageing, polluting commercial vehicles with BS-VI or electric variants to cut transport emissions in Delhi-NCR

Key: Tax exemption, registration fee waiver, interest subsidy and OEM discount for owners scrapping BS-IV-or-older vehicles

Vehicular emissions are a major contributor to Delhi-NCR's air pollution crisis. By financially incentivising the replacement of the oldest, most polluting commercial vehicles, the scheme targets one of the more tractable sources of urban air pollution ahead of the winter smog season.
