Gujarat approved Rs 14.90 crore to set up 15-bed de-addiction centres in all 34 district hospitals for FY 2026-27.
The initiative is part of the state's 'Drug-Free Gujarat' campaign, approved under CM Bhupendra Patel's guidance.
Each centre will offer detoxification, therapy, counselling, mental healthcare and rehabilitation via multidisciplinary teams.
Equipment will be procured via the Government e-Marketplace, with monitoring through social audits and third-party verification.
