Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group announced a Rs 600-crore integrated superalloy manufacturing facility in Telangana on 22 July 2026, at the Farnborough International Airshow.
The 50-acre plant at Hardware Park, near Hyderabad, will produce nickel-based superalloys with an annual capacity of about 5,000 tonnes.
Dr S.K. Jha, former CMD of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (Midhani), will lead the project; commercial production is targeted for January 2028.
The group had separately raised $40 million (~Rs 400 crore) on 20 July 2026 in a funding round led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management.
Superalloys are high-performance metal alloys engineered to retain strength, resist creep and withstand extreme heat and mechanical stress — properties essential for jet engine turbine blades and gas turbines. Nickel-based superalloys are the most widely used aerospace variant because they keep their strength at very high operating temperatures.
Simple Analogy: Like a metal that doesn't go soft in a furnace where ordinary steel would sag and fail — that heat-tolerance is exactly what a jet engine's hottest components need.
