The Amended BharatNet Program (ABP) is upgrading Gram Panchayats (GPs) across India in a ring topology.
As of June 2026, 13,494 GPs have been upgraded under ABP for high-speed internet, adding to the 2.14 lakh GPs connected under Phases I and II.
The Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF), managed by Digital Bharat Nidhi, is supporting 26 projects related to 6G technologies.
To connect all Gram Panchayats and villages with high-speed broadband.
Key: Funded by USOF, it is the world's largest rural broadband project.
Provides financial support for providing telecom services in commercially unviable rural areas.
