Shooter Manu Bhaker and shot putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor were named on 18 September 2026 as India's flag-bearers for the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games.
The opening ceremony is on 19 September 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Bhaker won two bronze medals at Paris 2024, the first athlete of independent India to win two medals at one Olympics. Toor has won shot put gold at the last two Asian Games (Jakarta 2018, Hangzhou 2023).
At Hangzhou the flag-bearers were hockey captain Harmanpreet Singh and boxer Lovlina Borgohain.
