1,314 GOBARdhan biogas plants are operational in 585 districts; 12.22 crore household toilets have been built.

Key: Cabinet approval February 2020 for 2020-21 to 2024-25; outlay Rs 1,40,881 crore, of which Rs 52,497 crore from DDWS budget and the rest dovetailed from 15th Finance Commission grants, MGNREGS and other sources.
Garbage Free status for all cities
Key: Launched 1 October 2021 for five years; outlay about Rs 1.41 lakh crore; 100% source segregation, door-to-door collection, scientific processing and legacy dumpsite remediation.
Turn cattle dung and organic waste into biogas, CBG and manure
Key: Launched 30 April 2018 by DDWS; a national priority under SBM-G Phase II; a Unified Registration Portal (2023) gives biogas/CBG plants a registration number.
Annual cleanliness ranking of cities
Key: Conducted by MoHUA under SBM-Urban since 2016.
Certify cities on solid waste management outcomes
Key: Launched by MoHUA in January 2018; 7-star scale covering collection, segregation, processing, dumpsite remediation and grievance redressal.
A village that sustains ODF status and manages waste. Aspiring manages solid or liquid waste; Rising manages both; Model manages both and also shows visual cleanliness and ODF Plus messaging.
