The Jagannath Rath Yatra began on 27 June 2025 at Puri, Odisha, marking the deities' journey from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple.
The festival falls on Dwitiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Ashadha month in the Hindu calendar.
Three deities are taken in procession: Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, each on a separate chariot.
The celebration runs nine days, concluding with Niladri Bije after the return journey.
The ISKCON Rath Yatra in Prayagraj was scheduled for 29 June 2025, starting from Hira Halwai Crossing.
