Senior IAS officer Anurag Jain has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment for a period of two years.
Jain is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre and previously served as the state's Chief Secretary.
The formal order was issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
The appointment comes as NITI Aayog drives policy work towards the Viksit Bharat@2047 goal.
