Union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved ₹605.71 crore for Rajasthan and Telangana on 13 August 2026.
The funds come under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and the Krishonnati Yojana (KY).
Rajasthan received ₹340.59 crore and Telangana ₹265.12 crore.
The approvals were issued in a virtual meeting held from Bhopal with the agriculture ministers of both states.
PM-RKVY and KY were created by the Union Cabinet in October 2024 with a combined outlay of ₹1,01,321.61 crore.

A Mother Sanction is the first major release of central funds against a state's approved annual action plan for the year. Further releases depend on how much of that first tranche the state has actually spent. That is why the utilisation figures matter: Rajasthan had used 76.06% of its first release and Telangana 60.93%, and those percentages are the practical test a state must clear before the next instalment moves.
