The revamped India Code Portal was launched on 13 August 2026 at Kartavya Bhavan 2, New Delhi.
It was launched by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice.
India Code is the official digital repository of Indian legislation, maintained by the Legislative Department.
The upgraded portal adds AI-assisted search, semantic search and speech-based search, with access in all 22 Eighth Schedule languages.
It is integrated with the e-Gazette ecosystem and allows users to trace legislative history and track amendments.
