IRCTC has awarded full train-branding rights on the Lucknow-New Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express (82501/82502) to the beverage brand Sprite through a Letter of Acceptance.
For the branding window the service will be announced as the 'Sprite' Tejas Express at originating, terminating and en-route stations - the first time an Indian train carries a corporate brand in its official name and station announcements.
The rights run from 19 August to 11 November 2026 and cover station public-address announcements, station signage and exterior vinyl wraps.
The train stays an IRCTC service: Sprite neither owns nor operates it, and IRCTC continues to pay haulage charges to Indian Railways for tracks and stations.
The deal is part of Indian Railways' push to grow non-fare revenue, so far limited mainly to advertising wraps rather than naming rights.
