Tamil Nadu signed 97 fresh Memoranda of Understanding worth Rs 67,542 crore at the first Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave 2026, held in Chennai on 13 August 2026.
Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay presided over the exchange of documents; the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam government assumed office in May 2026.
The projects are projected to create about 1.21 lakh direct and indirect jobs; 56 of the 97 agreements are greenfield projects and 25 involve companies entering Tamil Nadu for the first time.
Data centres drew the largest sectoral share at Rs 26,417 crore, ahead of automobiles (Rs 17,073 crore) and renewable energy (Rs 15,787 crore).
Counting earlier agreements, the state reported 104 MoUs worth Rs 1,02,514 crore in the government's first 100 days.
