Gujarat launched a 'Cyber Financial Fraud e-Zero FIR' system so victims can start the legal process without visiting a police station.
It was launched by Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi in Gandhinagar on 27 July 2026.
A complaint on the national cybercrime helpline 1930 automatically generates an e-Zero FIR.
The e-Zero FIR is then forwarded electronically to the jurisdictional police station.
It was implemented with the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Union Home Ministry.
A Zero FIR can be registered at any police station regardless of where the crime happened; it is given the number '0' and later transferred to the police station with actual jurisdiction. It was introduced so victims are not turned away over jurisdiction. Gujarat's e-Zero FIR takes this digital: a cyber-fraud complaint to the 1930 helpline automatically becomes a Zero FIR and is routed to the right station online, saving the victim a police-station visit and speeding up the crucial early hours when frozen funds can still be recovered.
Simple Analogy: It is a Zero FIR that files itself online the moment you call the fraud helpline.
