Kerala has led India on school digitisation for years, and 'Digital Square' extends that into the foundational primary years, integrating technology into everyday classroom teaching. It is run by KITE, the state agency that has long managed Kerala's education technology, including its Little KITEs student IT clubs. The launch came with a cluster of related measures under a 100-day education plan — a Cyber Safety Protocol for students, a platform called Tharapadham to track attendance and learning outcomes, and a School Wiki-thon — reflecting a systematic, state-wide approach rather than a one-off scheme.
