Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) to around 15 lakh first-time employees.
PM-VBRY aims to support creation of over 3.5 crore jobs in two years by incentivising formal-sector employment and EPFO enrolment.
Part A gives first-time EPFO-registered employees (salary up to ₹1 lakh) one month's EPF wage (up to ₹15,000) in two instalments, after 6 and 12 months of service.
Part B pays employers up to ₹3,000/month for two years per additional sustained employee (extended to 4 years for manufacturing); payments flow via DBT/ABPS for employees and PAN-linked accounts for employers.

All Part A payments to employees are made through Direct Benefit Transfer using the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS), while Part B employer incentives go directly into PAN-linked accounts — ensuring transparency and reducing leakage.
