POWERGRID received the PMIS Recognition of Partner Company Award in the Innovation in Exit Pathways category on 14 August 2026.
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs held the ceremony at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
POWERGRID offered 6,265 internships across Pilot Rounds 1 and 2 of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme between December 2024 and December 2025.
The award recognised its practice of uploading intern training records to the Power Sector Skill Council's Rozgaar portal.
Mahindra & Mahindra was named Overall Industry Champion and IBM India won the Innovation in Program Implementation award at the same event.
Announced in the Union Budget 2024-25 with the aim of providing internship opportunities to one crore youth in the country's top 500 companies over five years
