West Bengal hosted its first Kaushal Mahotsav on 18 August 2026 at Balurghat Stadium in Dakshin Dinajpur district.
It was the 11th Kaushal Mahotsav held in India, organised by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the National Skill Development Corporation and the State government.
More than 50 employers, including Wipro, the Tata Group and Axis Bank, offered over 7,000 openings across IT, banking, logistics, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and retail.
Over 8,000 candidates registered and more than 7,500 interviews were conducted in a single day; 1,776 candidates received job offers.
Kaushal Mahotsav is a recruitment platform under the Skill India Mission, which was launched on 15 July 2015.
