Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that can plan and carry out a sequence of tasks with a degree of autonomy in order to reach a defined objective, rather than answering one prompt at a time. In finance it is being applied to workflow automation, customer service, fraud detection and continuous risk monitoring. Tokenisation is the representation of an asset or a payment credential as a digital token on a ledger - it both protects card details in a payment and, in its wider form, allows financial assets to be issued and settled digitally. Quantum matters in two directions at once: quantum computing threatens the cryptography that secures today's financial messaging, and quantum-safe cryptography is the defence being built in response.
Simple Analogy: A chatbot answers a question. An agentic system is handed the goal and comes back when the errand is done.
