The model carries the API identifier gpt-6-astra and a context window of one million tokens.
Access opened first to enterprise customers in OpenAI's Daybreak cybersecurity programme, before wider release to paid ChatGPT tiers.
It is built for agentic use: planning and executing multi-step tasks, reading local files and producing documents rather than only answering prompts.
API pricing was set at 10 dollars per million input tokens and 50 dollars per million output tokens.
