Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy dropped Konda Surekha from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect on 3 September 2026.
Konda Surekha held the portfolio of Environment, Forests and Endowments in the Telangana government.

On the same day the appointment of G. Chinna Reddy as Vice Chairman of the Telangana State Planning Board was withdrawn, and Gadwal Vijayalakshmi was appointed in his place with the rank of a Cabinet Minister.

The Chief Minister is appointed by the Governor, and the other Ministers are appointed by the Governor on the advice of the Chief Minister. Ministers hold office during the pleasure of the Governor - which in practice means at the Chief Minister's will.
