Actor-director Prasad Oak received the Chitrapati V. Shantaram Special Contribution Award at the same ceremony.
The Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award was instituted in 2008 by the Maharashtra government's Department of Cultural Affairs; the first recipient was Aamir Khan.
