A four-member team from Munnar, Kerala reached the summit of Ramjak (6,318 m) in Himachal Pradesh's Lahaul region at 8 am on 10 September 2026, after setting out from Shinku La base on 4 September.
Ramjak lies near Shinku La (Shingo La), the pass on the trekking route from Lahaul to Zanskar, and is known as a technically difficult peak.
Its first ascent came in 2002 by an Indian Mountaineering Foundation expedition led by Sangay Dorjee Sherpa, after repeated failed attempts from 1994.
