At the India-Russia Business Forum 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on 11 September 2026, the two sides reaffirmed a goal of $100 billion in bilateral trade by 2030.
They also set a target of $50 billion in two-way investment by 2030 and are fast-tracking a new Bilateral Investment Treaty.
Trade stands at about $60 billion, so reaching the target means adding roughly $40 billion in four years with sustained double-digit growth.
Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal pushed MSME exports in pharmaceuticals, auto components, tractors, chemicals and food products, and better connectivity via INSTC and the Chennai-Vladivostok Maritime Corridor.
