The consignment filled 13 containers, was imported by a Mumbai-based firm and was valued at about Rs 3 crore.

There it was moved into different containers and onto different vessels before sailing to India, arriving inland at the Container Freight Station at Ambad in Nashik, Maharashtra. The switch of container and vessel at Jebel Ali is what the false UAE origin declaration rested on.
