CSIR-NIScPR is using SARAL AI, an ANRF tool, to convert research published in its journals into short, accessible videos.

The institute held a hands-on SARAL AI workshop for over 90 journal editors and researchers.

The videos are released through a dedicated YouTube playlist aimed at students and the public.

●SARAL = Simplified and Automated Research Amplification and Learning: ANRF's AI tool that turns research papers into videos, podcasts, posters and presentations.
●ANRF: set up under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation Act, 2023; provisions in force from 5 February 2024; Governing Board chaired by the Prime Minister.
●ANRF funding: ₹50,000 crore targeted over 2023-28, of which ₹14,000 crore is Central budgetary support; rest from industry, philanthropy and other sources.
●SERB (Science and Engineering Research Board), set up by a 2008 Act, was subsumed into ANRF.
●CSIR-NIScPR: formed 14 January 2021 by merging CSIR-NISCAIR and CSIR-NISTADS; New Delhi.
●CSIR: established September 1942; society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860; Prime Minister is ex-officio President.
