India recently hosted the 12th Steering Committee Meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) in New Delhi.
The GlobE Network serves as a global platform for specialized anti-corruption law enforcement agencies.
This network was established in 2021 to foster international cooperation against corruption.
Facilitates cross-border cooperation and information exchange among anti-corruption law enforcement agencies worldwide to combat transnational corruption.
The GlobE Network supports the practical implementation of UNCAC by providing an operational platform for law enforcement agencies to cooperate on corruption cases.
Both GlobE Network and FATF aim to combat illicit financial flows. While FATF focuses on setting standards and promoting effective implementation of legal, regulatory, and operational measures for combating money laundering, terrorist financing, and other related threats to the integrity of the international financial system, GlobE specifically targets corruption-related aspects through law enforcement cooperation.
