Senior diplomat Ngulkham Jathom Gangte has been appointed India's next Ambassador to Mexico, the Ministry of External Affairs announced on 30 July 2026.
An Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 1994 batch, he is currently a Special Secretary in the MEA.
He has previously served as Ambassador to Tunisia and High Commissioner to Zambia.
The appointment is part of India's push to strengthen ties with Latin America.
