NLC India Renewables Ltd (NIRL), NLC India's wholly owned renewable arm, received a Letter of Intent from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam for a 900 MW solar project in Gujarat's Khavda Solar Park cluster.
The project follows tariff-based competitive bidding; NIRL had earlier secured a 600 MW contract in the same park.
NLC India aims to add ~2 GW of renewable capacity by the end of the current financial year and 10 GW by 2030.
NIRL, incorporated on 14 June 2023, also works on wind energy and green hydrogen projects.
