Sarvam AI launched Epoch Builder Edition on 30 July 2026, a developer/enterprise platform for building and deploying LLMs for Indian languages, with 7B and 70B parameter models trained on 2 trillion tokens across 10+ Indian languages.
The same day, it commercially launched Sarvam Vision Edge, a document intelligence platform, building on its earlier Sarvam Vision (OCR) and Bulbul (text-to-speech, 35+ voices, 11 languages) tools.
MeitY selected Sarvam AI in April 2025 to build an indigenous foundational model under the IndiaAI Mission; the company plans a 1 trillion+ parameter model priced 5.5x cheaper than leading global models.
Founded in August 2023 by Vivek Raghavan and Pratyush Kumar, Sarvam AI reached unicorn status on 15 June 2026 after raising $234 million in the first close of its $300 million Series B round, at a $1.5 billion valuation.
