The Railway Board has approved seven new Amrit Bharat Express trains for long-distance inter-state routes.
The services link Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat and other states, mostly on a weekly pattern.
The Gorakhpur-Delhi special was regularised as a weekly Amrit Bharat Express on 10 August 2026, and the Gorakhpur-Bandra Terminus service was approved on 13 August 2026.
The Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express (22363/22364) will run via Nagpur, Vijayawada and Salem.
Amrit Bharat is Indian Railways' non-AC push-pull long-distance category, introduced in December 2023.
