The Andhra Pradesh government on 22 August 2026 approved a 512 MW green integrated AI data centre in Visakhapatnam district, to be built by AM AI Factory (Vizag) Pvt Ltd.
The project carries an investment of more than Rs 31,387 crore and is expected to create employment for about 1,000 people.
It will come up at Amanam village in Bheemunipatnam mandal and is to be completed in two years and four months.
The Government Order, issued by IT Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni, grants exemption from stamp duty and electricity duty along with power infrastructure and water supply support.
The clearance falls under the state's Data Centre Policy 4.0 (2024-29), under which the facility is categorised as a Mega Project.
