Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission portal and released the booklet of the UP Startup Policy 2026 on 27 August 2026.
The portal is meant to be a single digital gateway through which startups and entrepreneurs reach state government services, incentives and support programmes.
Uttar Pradesh now has more than 24,000 startups including eight unicorns, against roughly 120 startups before 2017.
At the launch, incentives worth more than Rs 3.42 crore were distributed among 107 startups and Rs 1.79 crore among nine incubators.
The policy backs Centres of Excellence in MedTech, drones, quantum computing, space technology, robotics and green hydrogen, and promises a larger Fund of Funds, land on lease and plug-and-play space.
