Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra was named the first-ever Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Ayodhya, on 2 September 2026.
The trust received about 5,200 applications for the post and shortlisted 18 candidates for interviews held from August 2026.
The CEO's post was created as the trust moved to professionalise its administration and donation management.
Mishra retired on 30 April 2026 as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the IAF's Western Air Command, which he led during Operation Sindoor.
The trust was constituted by the Union government in February 2020 after the Supreme Court's Ayodhya title verdict of 9 November 2019.
