The Supreme Court of India hosted the three-day BRICS Chief Justices' Forum in New Delhi from 4 to 6 September 2026, announced by the Court on 3 September.
Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant opened the forum and held bilateral meetings with heads of judicial delegations from ten countries.
Discussions covered modern jurisprudence, artificial intelligence in judicial administration, international commercial mediation, sustainable development and cross-border enforcement of arbitral awards.
Judicial leaders from BRICS members and partner countries including Belarus, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan attended.
The forum precedes the 18th BRICS Summit, hosted by India at New Delhi on 12-13 September 2026 under its fourth BRICS Chairship.
