Munitions India Limited (MIL), a defence PSU, and Hyderabad-based Drogo Aerospace signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Pune on 4 September 2026 for indigenous UAVs and loitering munition systems.
The MoU covers design, development, integration, safety evaluation, field and range trials, and quality certification of munition-linked aerial platforms.
Drogo Aerospace brings UAV airframe and platform work; MIL brings munitions design, explosive systems, payload filling, fuzing and modular munition development.
A key element is Drogo's Delta Wing Kamikaze platform, tested at Hyderabad, designed for a mission range up to 1,000 km with a 20-30 kg warhead.
MIL was created on 1 October 2021 as one of seven DPSUs formed by corporatising the Ordnance Factory Board.
