Coal India Limited supplied 322.90 million tonnes of coal during April-August of the current fiscal, 6.70% above the 302.60 MT of the same period a year earlier.
August 2026-27 supplies were 60.60 MT, up 5.50%, with power sector supplies rising 4.5% to 48.46 MT.
CIL holds a pithead stock cushion of 76 MT and 46 MT of ready-to-mine exposed coal, and has offered power plants road-mode lifting over and above Annual Contracted Quantities under their Fuel Supply Agreements.
