The 7th meeting of the India-Japan Joint Working Group on cooperation in forests was held at Bengaluru on 8 September 2026.
The Indian side was led by the Additional Director General (Forests), MoEFCC, and the Japanese side by a Deputy Director General of the Forestry Agency, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
The two sides endorsed a Roadmap for 2027-2031 under the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in 2015 and signed the Minutes of the 7th JWG.
