The 9th Rashtriya Poshan Maah was launched on 9 September 2026 at the Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi led the launch, with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Minister of State Savitri Thakur and UP Cabinet Minister Baby Rani Maurya.
The 2026 theme is 'Hamari Anganwadi, Hamari Jimmedari' - our Anganwadi, our responsibility - and the campaign runs through September 2026.
It is organised around five focus areas, including dietary diversity and adequate protein, hot cooked meals at Anganwadi Centres, community ownership, early childhood development, and ten years of the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana.
