• ●NMBA runs under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), the Department's umbrella scheme effective from 1 April 2018, funded fully by the Centre.
• ●Outreach through partner organisations under NMBA has reached more than 34.42 crore citizens, as stated by the Secretary at the event.

• ●Baseline data comes from 'Magnitude of Substance Use in India' (2019), done by NDDTC-AIIMS, New Delhi for the Ministry: about 16 crore people aged 10-75 use alcohol and 2.8% (3.1 crore) used a cannabis product in the past year.
• ●Citizens can register as a Nasha Mukti Mitra and take the e-Pledge on the NMBA portal; an Anti-Drug Pledge was administered at the event.
