Bengaluru-based QNu Labs announced a ₹200 crore Series A1 round on 9 September 2026, co-led by the National Quantum Mission (NQM) and Speciale Invest.
NQM put in ₹25 crore through the IITM C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation, NQM's thematic hub for quantum communication; the company's total capital raised is now ₹375 crore.
QNu Labs also has approval for ₹150 crore of convertible debt under the ₹1 lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) scheme.
It plans a 2,000-km live quantum key distribution network between Bengaluru and Delhi, and is building an indigenous quantum security platform for the armed forces.

QKD sends encryption keys encoded in quantum states of light. Measuring a quantum state disturbs it, so any eavesdropper leaves detectable errors and the key is discarded. The key then encrypts data over ordinary channels.
