Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dr. Jitendra Singh announced at the curtain-raiser that ESTIC-2026, the Emerging Science, Technology & Innovation Conclave, will be held from 27 to 29 October 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.

Its faculty will include three Nobel laureates - Prof. Joachim Frank, Sir Richard J. Roberts and Prof. Kostya Novoselov - with the theme 'Creative Minds, Catalyzing Science, Empowering Technologies'.

CSIR is organising the conclave under the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, with CSIR-NIIST Thiruvananthapuram as nodal laboratory and 13 ministries participating; registration closes 15 September 2026.

●The first edition, at Bharat Mandapam in November 2025, drew 13 ministries and over 5,000 delegates.
●Ecosystem cited by the Minister: the Rs 1 lakh crore Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund; India's startups have grown from about 350-400 in 2014 to over 2.3 lakh, the world's third-largest.
