RAS filters and recirculates the same water, removing waste so fish can be farmed intensively on very little land and water. Bio-floc uses beneficial microbes that clump together, converting waste nutrients into natural feed while cleaning the water, so almost no water exchange is needed.
Simple Analogy: RAS is a fish tank with its own water-treatment plant.
