The Ministry of Panchayati Raj launched DAANVEER on 29 July 2026 in New Delhi — a citizen-participation platform letting individuals, organisations, and the diaspora donate computer hardware to Gram Panchayats.
Carrying the tagline 'Give Back to Your Village,' the platform integrates the 'Meri Panchayat' app with the DigiHaat marketplace, letting donors pick pre-approved, state-specific computer bundles.
Developed with the National Informatics Centre and DigiHaat, it aims to bridge digital gaps across India's nearly 2.5 lakh Gram Panchayats, with real-time tracking and a digital certificate of appreciation for donors.
It integrates with existing rural governance portals — e-GramSwaraj, Sabha Saar, AuditOnline, and Gram Manchitra — to ensure donated hardware is put to immediate use.
Eligible Gram Panchayats list their technology needs on the Meri Panchayat app; donors select pre-approved, state-specific computer bundles via DigiHaat without handling procurement or shipping themselves. Delivery details are auto-populated, donors get real-time tracking, and receive a verified digital certificate of appreciation upon installation.
Simple Analogy: Like a registry-style gifting platform — donors pick from a pre-vetted list, and the system handles delivery and proof of use, rather than donors sending cash or equipment directly.
