ECLSS is the 'system of systems' that keeps the Gaganyaan Crew Module habitable — maintaining temperature, humidity, pressure and carbon dioxide levels — developed indigenously by ISRO. Its engineering model has been realised, and a reduced-version flight demonstration is planned on the uncrewed missions before any crewed flight is attempted.
