Air Marshal KAA Sanjeeb, AVSM, VSM, assumed charge as Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance (AOM) of the Indian Air Force on 1 September 2026.
He succeeded Air Marshal Sanjiv Ghuratia, who superannuated on 31 August 2026 after 39 years of service.
The AOM is one of the Principal Staff Officers at Air Headquarters, reporting to the Chief of the Air Staff, and is responsible for maintenance and logistics policy, planning and procurement.
Commissioned into the Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical) Branch on 3 September 1988, he has worked on the IL-76, the AWACS platform and the Boeing 737-200.
In 2003 he was Lead Engineer and Team Leader of the Air Headquarters project management team that inducted the IAF's first IL-78 flight refueller aircraft.
