●Elderline 14567: national toll-free senior helpline, inaugurated 1 October 2021 (International Day of Older Persons).
●Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007: Maintenance Tribunals; maintenance capped at Rs 10,000/month; abandonment punishable by up to 3 months' jail, Rs 5,000 fine, or both.
●Senior Citizens' Welfare Portal: launched by President Droupadi Murmu on 2 May 2025.
