On 17 September 2026 at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, APEDA signed an MoU with InD Events Dubai, the organiser of Gulfood.
India will be Official Partner Country at Gulfood 2027 (15-19 March 2027, Dubai) for the second year running. It held the role for the first time in 2026.
APEDA Secretary Dr Saswati Bose and InD Vice President Mark Napier signed the MoU, with Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal present.
The platform is meant for exporters, MSMEs, FPOs, startups and women- and SC/ST-led businesses to reach international buyers.

Parliament passed it in 1985 to set up APEDA, which replaced the Processed Food Export Promotion Council. The Act lets APEDA register exporters and promote scheduled products.
Signed 18 February 2022 and in force since 1 May 2022. Tariff cuts under it make the UAE, and Gulfood, a gateway for Indian food exports to the Gulf.
