Australia's left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc became the leading wicket-taker in ICC World Test Championship history during the second Test against Bangladesh at Mackay, played on 22-23 August 2026.
He took his WTC tally to 234 wickets, going past team-mates Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon, who have 228 each.
Starc returned 6/12 and 4/39 for a ten-wicket match haul; Bangladesh were bowled out for 64 in the first innings after slipping to 12 for 5.
Australia won by an innings and 51 runs with the match finishing inside two days, and Starc was named Player of the Match.
The six-wicket haul lifted his overall Test tally to 445, moving him past South Africa's Dale Steyn into the all-time top ten.
First final, at Southampton: New Zealand beat India by eight wickets to win the inaugural title.
Second final, at The Oval: Australia beat India by 209 runs.
Third final, at Lord's: South Africa beat Australia by five wickets.
