A three-day Table Top Exercise under the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) concluded on 12 September 2026 at Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam.
It began on 9 September 2026 on the theme 'Coordinated Response to Illicit Maritime Activities in the Indian Ocean Region'.
Delegations and maritime security experts from CSC member states and observer nations worked through simulated scenarios for over 72 hours.
Scenarios covered maritime terrorism, narcotics smuggling, human trafficking and IUU fishing, and participants reviewed SOPs and information-sharing for Maritime Domain Awareness.
Regional maritime security grouping of the Indian Ocean Region; began in 2020 as an India-Sri Lanka-Maldives arrangement and now has six members with Mauritius, Bangladesh (2024) and Seychelles (2025)

Visakhapatnam on the Andhra Pradesh coast is the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command, one of the Indian Navy's three operational commands along with the Western Command at Mumbai and the Southern Command at Kochi. CSC members ring the Indian Ocean from the Bay of Bengal to the south-west Indian Ocean.
