Indian Navy guided-missile corvette INS Kulish arrived at Ream Naval Base, Cambodia, on 12 September 2026 during the Eastern Fleet's operational deployment. It was the first Indian Navy ship ever to call at Ream.
Ream, about 30 km from Sihanoukville on the Gulf of Thailand, reopened in April 2025 after a China-funded expansion. Cambodia says the base is open to all friendly navies.
The crews of the Indian Navy and the Royal Cambodian Navy held joint training in damage control, fire-fighting and first aid before the ship left on 15 September.
INS Kulish is a Kora-class (Project 25A) corvette built by GRSE, Kolkata, and commissioned in 2001.
